Universal Fidelity LP Supports Local Children in Need

Jessica Hearn, CFO and equity partner of Universal Fidelity LP, recently spent a day educating local first graders on financial literacy.

Hearn taught students at MayDell Jenks Elementary in Katy, Texas, the importance of getting involved in their community and helped inspire financial responsibility, according to a news release from the company.

Universal Fidelity, an ACA International member company in Houston, believes financial responsibility and literacy is something that can begin at a young age.

Hearn’s visit was part of a program coordinated by Junior Achievement that helps prepare young people for the real world through education about financial literacy, careers, business ownership, and more.

“The opportunities children have can be endless,” Hearn said. “It was a great opportunity to be part of a program that shows children their opportunities starting in kindergarten and continuing until they graduate. The curriculum was real-world and involved the children’s thought process and involvement.”

Hearn said she plans to continue teaching and participating in Junior Achievement and encourages others to get involved in the program.
